After removal stumps are grinded to a minimum of 300mm below ground level which allows for replanting or ground preparation for any purpose.

The resulting material is a mixture of soil, stone and wood chips which is then backfilled into the hole. There is usually an excess amount left over which we can remove for you but find most people prefer the more cost effective solution of using it around the garden as a mulch.

Tree stumps are unsightly, can be difficult to remove or mow round in a lawn setting and can attract and harbour fungus and other wood rotting organisms which may then affect other trees.
